What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement sports and physical activity programs tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
- Provide instruction in a variety of sports, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball, while fostering a love for physical activity.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among all participants.
- Monitor camper progress and adapt activities as needed to ensure every child is engaged and successful.
- Ensure all sports equipment and facilities are safe and well-maintained while upholding behavioral guidelines.
- Assist with general Recreation Summer operations and supervision to ensure a secure environment.
- Previous experience coaching, teaching, or working with children in an athletic or summer program setting.
- Strong knowledge of various sports, physical fitness principles, and effective coaching techniques.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to lead groups effectively.
- The ability to adapt activities to accommodate different skill levels and abilities.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the program start date).
