ERVING Treasurer The Town of Erving, Massachusetts seeks a collaborative
and forward-thinking Treasurer to help guide the financial stewardship
of a rural Massachusetts community with a strong sense of identity,
natural beauty, and evolving economic opportunities and challenges. This
leadership position has the responsibilities as defined in Massachusetts
General Laws Chapter 32, 40, 41, 44 & 60 and is responsible for managing
the town?s financial affairs, overseeing the deposit, investment and
disbursement of all town funds to ensure the availability of liquid
assets as necessary and performing all borrowing, tracking and repayment
of notes and bonds, maintaining the Town?s bond rating, and the
management of tax title foreclosures. Additionally, this position
manages payrolls for all employees including benefits administration for
active and retired employees. The position is part-time (25-30 hours per
