In this role, you will collaborate with the HR Director to develop and operationalize a long-term program of initiatives that will develop a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture. This position will be exposed to all aspects of the Human Resources Department but may be assigned to specific functional areas of the department, as determined by the Director of Human Resources. This position requires a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and superior customer service skills.
What we are looking for: Effective intercultural communication skills, personnel management and policy development experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field and three (3) to five (5) years of human resources experience or Associates Degree in Human Resources Management or related field and five (5) to seven (7) years human resources experience required.
Certification with the Society for Human Resources Management experience is highly desirable.
Demonstrated understanding of cultural values and norms of various communities, particularly BIPOC, LGBTQ , and disability communities, among others.
Schedule and Pay information: This position works 35 hours per week, Monday-Wednesday between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursdays 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM – 12:00PM. Non-union position (grade 13) pay scale starting at $80.094.04 annually with the ability to move through the pay scale via step system to a maximum of $99,316.88. Hiring rate DOQ.
Benefits: including health, dental and vision insurance plans, participation in the Town’s retirement plan, Town match to 457 plan, and paid time off.
