PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR - PUMPING / TREATMENT SYSTEMS | CONCORD, MA

The Town of Concord is seeking an experienced and motivated Public Works Supervisor - Pumping/Treatment Systems to join our Water and Sewer Division. Concord is a progressive, customer-focused municipality dedicated to providing a safe, reliable water supply and effective wastewater management for residential, commercial, and institutional users. This hands-on supervisory position plays a key role in the operation and maintenance of the Town’s water and sewer pumping stations, treatment systems, water storage facilities, and related infrastructure.

The successful candidate will lead and support work crews, troubleshoot and maintain complex treatment and pumping systems, oversee SCADA operations, support water quality programs, and respond to water and sewer emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree and/or specialized knowledge and training in the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of complex water treatment, mechanical, SCADA and pumping systems.
• Four or more years of progressively responsible related experience, including supervisory experience and experience with water treatment, pumping systems and heavy motorized equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Massachusetts Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement; Tanker endorsement preferred.
• Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer’s 2A/1B Licenses.
• Massachusetts Drinking Water License, Grade III Treatment.
• Massachusetts Drinking Water License, Grade I Distribution preferred.

Starting salary range: $41.48 - $49.57 per hour. This is a full-time position, with a complete benefits package.
