PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR - DISTRIBUTION/COLLECTION SYSTEMS | CONCORD, MA

The Town of Concord is seeking an experienced and motivated Public Works Supervisor - Distribution/Collection Systems to join our Water and Sewer Division. Concord is a progressive, customer-focused municipality dedicated to providing a safe, reliable water supply and effective wastewater management for residential, commercial, and institutional users. Under the general supervision of the Water and Sewer Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, this position plans, organizes, coordinates, supervises, and participates in the daily operations of water distribution and wastewater collection systems, facilities, and related infrastructure.

The successful candidate will lead and support work crews, coordinate construction, maintenance and repair activities, oversee projects and contractors, and respond to water and sewer emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree and/or specialized knowledge and training in the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of complex mechanical and electrical pumping equipment.
• Four or more years of progressively responsible related experience, including supervisory experience, work zone safety/OSHA competent person experience, and experience operating heavy motorized equipment, including Vactors; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Massachusetts Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brake and Tanker endorsements.
• Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer’s 2A/1B Licenses.
• Massachusetts Drinking Water License, Grade III Distribution.
• Massachusetts Drinking Water License, Grade I Treatment preferred.

Starting salary range: $41.48 - $49.57 per hour. This is a full-time position, with a complete benefits package.

Costs associated with these pre-placement requirements will be borne by the Town.
