Front Office Manager-Hotel
REPORTS TO
General Manager
SUMMARY
The Front Office Manager is responsible for coordinating the activities of hotel personnel and overall operations of the hotel as directed by the General Manager. These activities may include planning, organizing, and developing of the overall operation of the hotel in accordance with company standards and guidelines along with assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, training and developing hourly staff.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, advanced education preferred or a combination of education and experience
- Ability to work a minimum of 50 hours a week that may include weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Basic mathematical skills required
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position supervises all line-level staff
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional environment. This role may be expected to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May be exposed to waste, infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc. that are consistent with hotel housekeeping.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a Full time position. Days and hours of work are typically 5 days per week 10 hours per day. Extended hours may be required as job duties demand. Position must be prepared for winter conditions.
Salary : $35,000 - $45,000
