Maintenance

We are immediately seeking a Maintenance person to join our dynamic teams. Our properties include Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Wingate. This individual will assist in a variety of general maintenance duties that include cleaning, painting, plumbing, electric, carpentry, masonry and renovations. This position also provides upkeep and maintenance to outdoor areas such as property yards and landscapes, walkways and exterior buildings.

Duties may include but are not limited to

• Assists in and/or changes light bulbs, replace fixtures, minor electrical tasks
• Assists in and/or opens clogged drains, fixes leaks, repairs/replaces faucets, sinks, toilets, and performs other simple plumbing jobs
• Assists in and/or does pre-painting preparation, touch-up painting, and repaints areas as needed
• Assists in and/or performs simple carpentry tasks, such as installing shelves, hooks, or rods
• Other duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• High school, GED, or trade school diploma or one or more years of related experience and/or training
• Good problem solving and multitasking skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives
• Able to effectively communicate both written and verbal
• Mathematical skills required and high attention to detail
• Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Dependable

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift, push, or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position has no supervisory responsibilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, paint fumes, and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of outside weather conditions.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time hourly position. Days and hours of work may vary but are generally 5 days a week 8 hours per day with a half hour for lunch. Extended work hours may be required as job duties demand.

Salary : $40,000 - $50,000
