About the Role (The Sweet Spot)

As an Account Executive, you'll build and maintain strong relationships with our client base while driving repeat orders and servicing client needs through thoughtful, consultative selling. This role blends client retention, client relationship management, order and administrative support for our clients, and CRM-driven communication with a high level of customer care and brand representation.

If you love talking to people, staying organized, spotting opportunities, and helping clients create memorable moments — all while working with the world's most delicious food (chocolate, of course) — this role might be your perfect fit.

You'll work closely with the Client Services Manager, our Outbound sales team, and internal teams across the business to ensure clients feel supported, heard, and excited to come back for more all the way along their custom chocolate journey.

What You'll Be Doing

Relationship-Driven Sales (Warm Leads, Warm Chocolate)

  • Drive revenue growth across all product lines by building authentic, long-term client relationships.
  • Ensure placed orders move smoothly through the custom process, supporting existing accounts — no one-and-done transactions here
  • Actively listen to client needs and recommend thoughtful gifting solutions that align with their evolving brand and goals.

CRM & Organization (HubSpot Is Your Friend)

  • Use HubSpot CRM to track leads, manage accounts, and monitor sales activity.
  • Keep records accurate, organized, and up to date — because great follow-up starts with great systems.
  • Support sales reporting and forecasting through consistent CRM usage.

Opportunity Spotting & Upselling (Tastefully, of Course)

  • Research prospects and industries to uncover new opportunities.
  • Suggest complementary products and creative enhancements that elevate the client experience.
  • Help turn good orders into great ones through product knowledge and service excellence.

Communication & Brand Representation

  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings in a way that reflects the Totally Chocolate brand: polished, friendly, and professional.
  • Increase brand visibility through consistent, on-brand client interactions.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth handoffs and happy outcomes.
  • Keep your account list totally organized and ensure you're across the details

What We're Looking For

Experience & Skills

  • 2–5 years of sales experience (retail, direct sales, or related fields).
  • Experience in food, gifting, promotional products, or branded merchandise is a plus (but not required).
  • Comfortable prospecting, negotiating, and closing — without being pushy.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM tools; HubSpot experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

All potential new hires are required to successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
