We are seeking a friendly and energetic Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, but not required. Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries and recommendations
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits of merchandise
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to increase sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and replenishing merchandise
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members when applicable
Experience
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for handling transactions and balancing registers
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
- Experience in upselling, product demos, merchandising, and stock management is advantageous
- Bilingual skills are a plus to serve a diverse customer base
- Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership roles within the team
