Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selection
- Handle cash and card transactions with accuracy and professionalism
- Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Assist in inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory checks
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming for customers
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations
- Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers to enhance their shopping experience
- Follow phone etiquette standards when handling inquiries or customer calls
- Support other store functions such as cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a welcoming environment
Experience
- Must be fluent in English
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transactions
- Experience supervising or leading a team is advantageous but not required
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued
- Ability to perform upselling techniques and product demonstrations effectively
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail sales strategies is beneficial
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
