Total Product Events, a subsidiary of Kretek International, is the owner of Total Product Expo (TPE), the first big B2B buying show of the year that brings together thousands of independent retailers, local distributors, brands, and manufacturers. We are seeking an Email Marketing & CRM Specialist who is responsible for executing all email marketing campaigns and managing the CRM database to support Total Product Expo (TPE) marketing initiatives. This role owns end-to-end email deployment, segmentation, and automation, with a strong emphasis on improving and maintaining email deliverability and sender reputation.
This individual will lead efforts to address deliverability challenges by implementing best practices across list management, authentication, and campaign execution to ensure reliable inbox placement and strong campaign performance.
Working under the direction of the Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring that all email campaigns are executed accurately, properly targeted, and aligned with overall campaign timelines to drive attendee and exhibitor engagement.
The TPE team is a united, fast-paced team that is located in Moorpark, CA.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
Email Campaign Execution
- Own end-to-end execution of email campaigns, including build, QA, scheduling, and deployment
- Manage all aspects of the campaign lifecycle, including audience selection, setup, testing, and post-send validation
- Ensure accuracy of links, personalization, and rendering across devices and platforms
CRM & Audience Management
- Manage and maintain CRM database to support campaign execution
- Build and refine audience segments based on behavior, demographics, and engagement
- Support ongoing database growth and quality improvement
Marketing Automation
· Build and execute automated lifecycle journeys
· Leverage segmentation and behavioral triggers to improve engagement and conversion
· Ensure automation workflows are properly configured, tested, and optimized
Email Platform & Deliverability
· Manage day-to-day execution within the email marketing platform
· Monitor and maintain email deliverability, including list hygiene, sender reputation, and inbox placement
· Manage templates, modules, and system configuration
· Apply best practices for authentication and compliance (e.g., SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
· Troubleshoot deployment and rendering issues to ensure reliable campaign delivery
Performance Tracking & Optimization
· Track and analyze key performance metrics (open rate, CTR, conversions, bounces, complaints)
· Support A/B testing across subject lines, creative, timing, and audience segments
· Implement tracking and attribution using UTM parameters and analytics tools
· Provide insights and recommendations to improve campaign performance
Success Metrics
· Accurate and timely deployment of all email campaigns
· Deliverability rates
· Achievement of email performance benchmarks
· Improved database quality and segmentation effectiveness
· Successful execution of automated workflows
Qualifications
· 3–6 years of experience in email marketing, CRM, or marketing operations
· Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Mailchimp, or similar)
· Proven experience building and deploying email campaigns and automated workflows
· Strong understanding of audience segmentation, list management, and email best practices
· Experience managing email deliverability, including inbox placement, sender reputation, and list hygiene
· Hands-on experience using deliverability and diagnostic tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid, GlockApps, Validity/Return Path, MXToolbox, or similar)
· Experience working within CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and managing contact databases
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to execute error-free campaigns
· Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
· Familiarity with marketing and project management tools (e.g., Asana or similar)
· Experience working with basic design tools (e.g., Canva) to support email asset creation and template updates
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience
