Total HR Solutions, LLC is looking to fill a full time Payroll Specialist position. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to, maintaining client contact in all aspects of the payroll transaction cycle, update company/employee/payroll record information, prepare reports requested by clients and colleagues, calculate payroll liabilities, resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information, maintain payroll operations according to company procedures, maintain confidentiality, and payroll related filings (quarterly reporting, year-end reporting, and 1099s).
- Process payroll using Execupay.
- Perform data entry with high accuracy for employee hours, wages, benefits, deductions, and tax information.
- Manage benefits administration tasks including enrollment updates, leave tracking, and compliance reporting.
- Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions with information provided
- Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, tax filings, and employee data in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with payroll contact to ensure accurate employee classification, tax withholding, and compliance with governmental regulations.
- Assist the payroll contact with related payroll expenses or reimbursements.
- Conduct periodic audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve issues promptly.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and payroll regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Associate degree (Required)
- 3 Years Payroll Experience (Preferred)
- Familiarity with financial software such as QuickBooks or other accounting tools is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability in data entry accuracy and attention to detail in high-volume environments.
- Experience handling benefits administration, tax filings, account reconciliation, and journal entries.
- Knowledge of human resources practices related to payroll processing is a plus.
- Ability to analyze financial data effectively while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
