Assistant Project Manager – Commercial Interiors

We are partnered with a well-established General Contractor specialising in high-end commercial interiors who are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their growing New York team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to landmark fit-outs, corporate interiors, and retail spaces while working alongside some of the best in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers and Superintendents in the delivery of interior fit-out projects.
- Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure smooth site operations.
- Attend project meetings, prepare progress reports, and maintain project documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and quality requirements.
Requirements:
- 1–5 years’ experience in commercial interiors with a General Contractor.
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, schedules, and budgeting processes.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office; Smartsheet or PlanGrid is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
