Job Summary
Tornado's Grub & Pub is seeking a dependable, friendly, and service-oriented American Restaurant Support Worker to assist with daily restaurant operations and help maintain a welcoming dining environment. This role supports food and beverage service, dining area preparation, order coordination, restocking, cleaning, and general restaurant tasks while working closely with kitchen and front-of-house team members.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide courteous, professional assistance.
- Support servers and other team members with daily restaurant service.
- Assist with delivering food and beverages to guests promptly.
- Help prepare, organize, and restock dining and service stations.
- Clear and reset tables to keep dining areas clean and ready for guests.
- Maintain clean and organized counters, tables, service stations, and workspaces.
- Restock utensils, napkins, condiments, beverages, and other service supplies.
- Assist with order coordination between kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.
- Help ensure food orders are accurate, complete, and delivered to the correct guests.
- Respond politely to routine guest questions and direct concerns to supervisors when necessary.
- Assist with food preparation and packaging when assigned.
- Follow food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Handle dishes, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
- Communicate supply shortages, equipment concerns, and service issues to supervisors.
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant preparation.
- Support coworkers during busy service periods to maintain efficient operations.
- Perform other restaurant support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
