Midtown Station is seeking a dependable, friendly, and service-oriented American Food Service Worker to support daily food service and restaurant operations. This role involves assisting with food preparation, order assembly, food and beverage service, customer assistance, and maintaining clean and organized work areas. The ideal candidate will contribute to efficient service, consistent food quality, and a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and assembling food items according to established procedures.
- Help portion, plate, package, and present menu items accurately.
- Support food and beverage service and ensure orders are delivered promptly.
- Welcome customers and provide courteous assistance.
- Answer routine questions about menu items and available options.
- Check orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper presentation.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service team members to support efficient operations.
- Operate point-of-sale systems and process payments as needed.
- Maintain clean and organized food preparation areas, counters, and service stations.
- Restock ingredients, beverages, utensils, packaging, and other supplies.
- Follow food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Clean and maintain food service equipment and utensils according to established guidelines.
- Monitor supply levels and report shortages to supervisors.
- Communicate customer requests, order issues, and service concerns to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with opening, closing, and routine cleaning duties.
