About the Role
Flynn Applebee's is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to support daily restaurant operations, team development, guest satisfaction, and business performance.
This leadership role is responsible for creating an outstanding dining experience, developing team members, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring company standards are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment and is passionate about customer service and team success.
Key Responsibilities
Restaurant Operations
- Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Maintain company standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, and safety.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management processes.
- Ensure proper product preparation, presentation, and quality control.
- Support daily opening, closing, and operational procedures.
Guest Experience
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and feedback.
- Conduct guest interactions and table visits to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Foster a culture focused on hospitality and service excellence.
- Create memorable dining experiences for guests.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop restaurant team members.
- Assist with onboarding and training programs for new employees.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
- Promote employee engagement and career development opportunities.
- Support a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment.
Scheduling & Labor Management
- Develop employee schedules based on business needs.
- Monitor labor costs, staffing levels, and overtime.
- Support payroll-related administrative activities.
- Ensure adequate staffing during peak operating hours.
Financial & Inventory Management
- Assist with food, beverage, and inventory control.
- Support cost management and profitability initiatives.
- Complete daily paperwork and operational reporting.
- Participate in food and beverage inventory processes.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
- Follow local, state, and federal regulations.
- Promote workplace safety and security practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of restaurant management experience.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServSafe Food Certification.
- ServSafe Alcohol Certification.
- Experience managing restaurant operations and teams.
- Experience with scheduling, inventory, and labor management systems.

Compensation
- $19.00 - $23.50 per hour
- Approximately $54,340 - $67,200 annually
