Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician’s primary responsibility is to ensure assigned properties are safe, fully operational, and guest-ready at all times. This role completes daily work orders, performs preventative inspections, and troubleshoots home systems and technology.
This is a hands-on, high-accountability position that requires weekend availability, participation in on-call rotations, and availability for nights and holidays as needed.
Areas of Responsibility & Duties
- Complete assigned daily work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance across multiple homes
- Conduct interior and exterior property inspections, including fixtures and furnishings
- Troubleshoot and assist guests with home-related issues, including technology systems
- Test, diagnose, and perform basic repairs on:
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing systems
- Appliances
- HVAC and boiler systems
- Pool equipment (preferred experience)
- Identify safety risks and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain maintenance inventory and request parts/supplies as needed
- Accurately complete and submit required documentation at the end of each shift
- Advise management when licensed professionals or vendors are required
- Maintain company-assigned vehicles
- Follow established company policies, procedures, and dress code
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule
- Work weekends (required), evenings, nights as needed, and holidays

Experience

- Experience with basic repairs required
- Experience with pool equipment preferred
- Strong comfort level with technology and smart-home systems required
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic understanding of general home maintenance
- Ability to learn and use new software and tools
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record (required)
- Personal cell phone capable of accessing the web and downloading apps
- Ability to work weekends (mandatory)
- Availability for nights, holidays, and on-call rotation
Working Conditions
This position operates in both indoor and outdoor environments and requires frequent travel between office, storage, and property locations. Employees routinely use hand tools, power equipment, cleaning supplies, mobile devices, and office equipment.
All candidates must pass a background and motor vehicle check prior to hire.
Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in all company work areas, managed properties, owned properties, company vehicles, and within 10 feet of entrances, exits, ramps, windows, and air-intake vents.
Employees must adhere to company dress code standards.
Physical Requirements
- Constant movement (approximately 90% of shift)
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Frequent crouching, bending, and stooping
- Typical shifts range from 8–10 hours; overtime may be required based on workflow
