QUALIFICATIONS:
- Washington State Teaching Certificate with proper endorsement required.
- Science endorsement and/or major in Science preferred.
- CTE STEM Technology endorsement required.
- Maintain compliance with all CTE program requirements, including OSPI frameworks, industry standards, and advisory committee input.
- Incorporate technology, project-based learning, and real-world applications into instruction.
- Knowledge and application of a variety of learning models, including differentiated instruction, GLAD and Professional Learning Communities.
- Experience and/or knowledge of the Science Washington State Learning Standards.
- Experience and /or knowledge of Danielson Instructional Framework.
- Broad knowledge base of science curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Evidence of leadership, organizational, classroom/student management and teamwork skills
- Ability to establish and maintain a professional and positive working relationship with students, families, community and staff from diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds.
- Desired characteristics include flexibility, ability to project enthusiasm, a desire to learn new ideas and skills, and ability to use data to inform instruction
- Experience and demonstrated success as a middle school teacher preferred.
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
