What You'll Be Doing
- Assist with employee relations matters and the administration of company policies and procedures.
- Process and approve bi-weekly payroll while reconciling payroll records as required.
- Communicate personnel status changes promptly to Payroll.
- Participate in employee orientations and present HR-related policies, procedures, benefits, and company information.
- Ensure all onboarding tasks and new hire documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate annual employee performance review processes.
- Schedule and coordinate annual biometric screenings.
- Manage employee badge issuance, replacement, and deactivation.
- Coordinate company-issued locker assignments and management.
- Monitor employee attendance, timecards, vacation schedules, and leave requests.
- Track attendance points and provide reporting to leadership.
- Assist supervisors and managers with disciplinary documentation and coordinate approvals with HR leadership.
- Partner with the CSD Pillar Team to ensure training records are maintained and up to date.
- Maintain personnel files and confidential employee records.
- Support employees with leave-related questions and documentation, including:
- FMLA
- Short-Term Disability
- Long-Term Disability
- Shift Changes
- Health Assessments
- Support front office operations, including visitors, phone coverage, mail distribution, and general administrative functions.
- Maintain an organized, professional, and well-stocked office environment.
- Participate in monthly corporate HR meetings.
- Process workers’ compensation submissions and respond to related inquiries.
- Participate in workplace injury investigations as needed.
- Work with HR leadership to resolve payroll discrepancies, including Blue Angle ticket management.
- Participate in daily plant safety activities and GEMA walks.
- Prepare weekly human capital reports and support leadership meetings.
- Request and coordinate temporary labor through VNDLY as needed.
- Generate reports related to overtime, maintenance labor, temporary staffing, payroll reconciliation, and other workforce metrics.
- Enter and maintain employee data within Workday, including:
- Pay increases
- Manager changes
- Shift changes
- Schedule interviews, assessments, and candidate meetings.
- Ensure internal job opportunities are properly communicated throughout the facility.
- Track CSD information and participation.
- Verify all employee documentation is complete and properly maintained.
- Complete I-9 verification and E-Verify processing for new hires.
- Administer attendance-related disciplinary actions.
- Process hourly employee bonus programs.
- Coordinate and administer monthly random drug testing.
- Schedule and coordinate hearing tests.
- Develop, improve, and maintain processes related to HR and administrative functions.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- You have an Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- You have at least one year of recruiting, hiring, HR, payroll, or office administration experience.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You possess excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- You are capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- You have strong attention to detail and maintain confidentiality.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office applications and HR systems.
- You have experience working with payroll, employee records, onboarding, or HR processes.
- You have a positive, customer-service-oriented mindset and a strong sense of urgency.
