Activity Aide

Huntingdon Park Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team full-time. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and is passionate about creating meaningful, engaging daily experiences for residents.

Schedule

• Part Time (Every other weekend)
• Mostly day-time hours, may be asked to do an evening activity periodically
  
  
  

Responsibilities of Activity Aide:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational and social activities for residents
• Encourage resident participation and engagement in programs and events
• Support group activities, games, crafts, music, and special events
• Assist with decorating and preparing for holidays and facility events
• Escort and support residents as needed during activities
• Maintain activity supplies and ensure areas are organized
• Document resident participation when required
• Promote a positive, friendly, and resident-centered environment
  
  
  

Qualifications for Activity Aide:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care preferred, or activity's role is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable engaging with elderly residents in group and one-on-one settings
