Part-Time Accounts Payable Coordinator
Location: In-Office
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
About the Opportunity
Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their team on a part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys AP work but is specifically looking for a consistent, approximately 20-hour-per-week schedule.
The position will focus primarily on keeping day-to-day AP functions organized and running smoothly, including invoice processing, payment coordination, vendor accounts, and general accounting support.
This could be a great fit for someone looking to maintain their accounting experience while having a predictable part-time weekday schedule.
What You'll Be Doing
- Handle the day-to-day flow of invoices and payments.
- Review invoices and supporting documentation to make sure everything is accurate and properly approved.
- Keep vendor accounts and payment records organized and up to date.
- Help coordinate regular payments through checks, ACH, and other payment methods.
- Investigate and help resolve discrepancies with invoices or vendor accounts.
- Communicate with vendors and internal team members when questions arise.
- Assist with reconciliations and other periodic accounting needs.
- Help keep AP records organized and ready for month-end or audit needs.
- Provide general support to the accounting team as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 2 years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience preferred.
- Comfortable working with invoices, vendor accounts, and payment processes.
- Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Reliable and able to manage responsibilities independently.
- Good communication and follow-through.
- Comfortable working in an in-office environment.
