Duties

• Assist customers in selecting products by providing detailed information on strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories, including conducting product demos when appropriate.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products, including their effects, potency levels, and usage recommendations to advise customers accurately.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cash drawer management.
• Upsell products by suggesting complementary items and educating customers on new or popular offerings to enhance their experience.
• Stock shelves regularly, organize displays, and ensure all products are properly merchandised according to store standards.
• Handle retail store operations such as cashiering, inventory management, and stock replenishment with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely while maintaining a professional tone.
• Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer service.
• Engage with bilingual customers effectively by utilizing language skills to enhance communication and service quality.
• Follow all safety protocols related to cash handling, product storage, and customer interactions in compliance with industry regulations.

Experience

• Prior retail sales experience is preferred, especially within grocery stores or specialty retail environments involving product merchandising.
• Supervising experience in a retail setting is highly desirable to support team coordination and store operations.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math is essential for smooth transaction processing.
• Experience conducting product demos or educational sessions enhances your ability to inform and engage customers effectively.
• Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—are vital for delivering excellent customer service and team collaboration.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases more effectively.
• Knowledge of cannabis products or related industry experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 27.0 – 35.0 per week
