Summary
The Production Supervisor will ensure the production team can meet customer needs and achieve the highest standards related to manufacturing costs, quality, efficiency, safety, and productivity.
Key Activities
- Directly supervises production hourly employees in manufacturing activities of an assigned production area in such a manner that approved quality products are manufactured and/or delivered on schedule and within specifications and cost requirements.
- Directly work with the group or department to ensure production and/or delivery on time.
- Selects and trains employees to produce at standard-and-above efficiency.
- Responsible for maintaining quality standards.
- Responsible for maintaining high employee morale and positive relationships.
- Responsible for teaching safe work practices, good housekeeping procedures and ensuring they are adhered to.
- Responsible for keeping machines and/or equipment in good repair.
- Recommend changes or improvements in methods, equipment, handling or layout.
- Responsible for the accuracy of required administrative reports.
- Responsible for controlling absenteeism, scrap and waste.
- Frequent contact with office staff, giving and/or receiving information
- Completes all other projects assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain qualified production staff to meet company objectives.
- Monitor adherence by personnel to food quality programs and procedures.
- Continually evaluate plant GMP and sanitation standards and programs by reviewing facility inspection reports and follow-up actions.
- Perform GMP inspections.
- Coordinate and assist as necessary with developmental projects to meet concept and time frames.
- Review all new product formulations, process techniques and packaging to ensure compliance with existing regulatory guidelines.
- Support the QA staff by assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues that may impact product safety or quality, and interacting with regulatory agencies.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues calmly and professionally.
Educations & Experience
- High school diploma or bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- 3 years of manufacturing/production leadership experience.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced Food Manufacturing Co.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
