Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on operations leader to oversee a large-scale, high-volume manufacturing and machining environment. This role combines technical knowledge, strategic leadership, and operational management to drive productivity, quality, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience with automation, robotics, Lean methodologies, and operational excellence initiatives while managing a sizable team across multiple shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a large, multi-shift workforce, fostering a culture of engagement, safety, and accountability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles, Six Sigma, and other process optimization methodologies.
- Implement, manage, and optimize automated systems, including robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and budget objectives are consistently met.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to improve equipment reliability, throughput, and process efficiency.
- Monitor operational KPIs and leverage data-driven insights to enhance performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Partner with supply chain and strategic planning teams to support organizational goals and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a workforce of 100 employees across multiple shifts.
- Hands-on expertise with automated systems, robotics, and production technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and implementing process improvements.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
