What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st shift Millwright position at Top Gun Staffing Inc?
We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-oriented 1st Shift Millwright to join our high-performing maintenance team. In this role, you’ll support continuous improvement across mill operations through expert troubleshooting and proactive maintenance.
You'll be responsible for the repair, alignment, and installation of industrial machinery, ensuring smooth and safe operation of all equipment in the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, including conveyors, debarkers, canters, gang saws, and edgers
Dismantle, assemble, install, and align equipment using hoists, jacks, hand/power tools, and precision measuring instruments
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
Perform adjustments to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts
Use STICK welding
Ensure safe movement and setup of machinery using proper rigging tools and techniques
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 3 years of verifiable millwright experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of equipment alignment, rotating machinery, and mechanical systems
Must provide your own basic hand tools
Proven skills in STICK welding
Must pass background check, physical, and drug screening
