What You’ll Do
As an Automotive Paint Technician, you’ll play a key role in restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition with precision and attention to detail.
Your responsibilities include:
● Prepare vehicles for paint through proper sanding, masking, feather edging, cleaning, and surface preparation.
● Mix and match automotive paint using manufacturer specifications to ensure accurate color and finish.
● Apply primers, sealers, basecoats, and clearcoats using professional spray equipment.
● Inspect every finish for color match, texture, gloss, and overall quality before delivery.
● Work closely with body technicians and estimators to ensure repairs move efficiently through production.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe paint department.
● Follow all manufacturer repair procedures and safety standards while handling paints, coatings, and refinishing materials.
What We’re Looking For
● Previous experience as an Automotive Paint Technician in a collision repair or dealership environment.
● Strong knowledge of automotive refinishing systems and paint application techniques.
● Experience with color matching, blending, masking, and complete vehicle refinishing.
● High attention to detail and commitment to producing exceptional quality work.
● Ability to work independently while contributing to a positive team environment.
● Dependable, motivated, and committed to continuous improvement.
● Valid driver’s license preferred.
