Job Skills / Requirements

Job Title: Unarmed Security Officer (Open Availability Required)

Job Summary: We are seeking reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officers who have fully open availability and strong customer service and technology skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing excellent service to clients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to ensure safety and security
• Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification and credentials
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms
• Write clear and accurate incident and daily activity reports
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and employees in a professional manner
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
• Use security-related technology systems efficiently (e.g., reporting software, badge systems, CCTV)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous security experience preferred but not required
• Must have fully open availability (days, nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic to intermediate technology skills (comfortable using computers, mobile apps, and security systems)
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills

Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must pass a background check and any required screenings
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable to site)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with access control systems and surveillance monitoring
• Report writing experience
• Customer service or public-facing experience

Work Environment: This position may be assigned to various sites including corporate offices, residential communities, retail locations, or industrial facilities.

Schedule: Candidates must have flexible, open availability to work any shift as needed.
