Our client, a Japanese Freight Forwarder is looking for an Export Specialist.
Position : Export Specialist

Location : Charlotte, NC
Salary : 50-60k range Base Benefit Packages
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle export operations for both air and ocean freight shipments
- Arrange domestic trucking and coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules
- Prepare and file AES / SED accurately and in compliance with U.S. export regulations
- Book shipments with airlines and steamship lines and manage cut-off times and schedules
- Coordinate with overseas agents, airlines, steamship lines, and trucking companies
- Handle accounts payable related to export operations, including reviewing vendor and carrier invoices
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and ensure billing accuracy
- Maintain shipment records and ensure proper documentation retention
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in international freight forwarding or logistics operations
- Customer-oriented communication skills
- Bilingual English/Japanese preferred
