Our client, a semiconductor product manufacturer, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety specialist at their Austin location. This role requires frequent travel to their client site in Taylor Texas.
EHS Specialist
Location: Austin TX with Travel to Client site in Taylor TX
Type: Full-time Direct Hire- Exempt
Salary: 100-115K
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce EHS policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations
- Integrate client-specific requirements and best practices into procedures
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance
- Perform site inspections and hazard evaluations
- Recommend and implement corrective actions to reduce safety and environmental risks
- Deliver safety training on workplace hazards, PPE, and emergency procedures
- Track completion and measure effectiveness through performance metrics
- Incident Management
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes
- Implement preventive actions and maintain detailed reports
- Monitor safety performance using KPIs and support safety committees
- Coordinate with auditors and integrate EHS into operations
- Collaboration & Improvement
- Advise leadership on EHS matters and work with regulatory agencies
- Maintain accurate records and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related field
- 5 years of experience in health and safety
- CSP), CIH OR NEBOSH certification preferred
- ISO 45001 familiarity preferred
