Key Responsibilities
Research
- Develop and maintain an externally funded research program.
- Design and execute hypothesis-driven experiments; analyze, interpret, and present data.
- Contribute to manuscripts, grant writing, and peer-reviewed publications.
- Collaborate with clinicians and internal/external teams to advance translational research.
- Educate medical students and residents in internal medicine and allergy/immunology.
- Supervise residents in in-patient settings and precept medical students in ambulatory clinics.
- Mentor students and trainees in scholarly projects.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
- Represent the university in professional and academic settings.
Minimum:
- Ph.D. in immunology, microbiology, or related life sciences.
- Demonstrated achievement in teaching, research, and service.
- Eligible for appointment at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank.
- 3–4 years of basic science experience in an academic medical center.
- Strong background in immunology, molecular biology, and cellular signaling.
- Proficiency in techniques such as cell culture, PCR, flow cytometry, ELISA, cytokine profiling, immunoassays, and in vivo immunological models.
- Expertise in data analysis for immunology experiments using tools like GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, and R.
- Experience with bioinformatics and transcriptomics is a plus.
