Position Overview

Culver-Stockton College seeks an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice to begin August 2026. The position involves teaching a broad range of criminal justice and legal studies courses, including criminal law, constitutional law, trial advocacy, and dispute resolution. Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in criminal justice and legal studies
• Advise and mentor students on academic and career development
• Participate in departmental, college, and community service activities
• Assist with student recruitment
• Engage in scholarly or professional activities
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation efforts

Qualifications

Required:

• Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, J.D., or a closely related field by the appointment date
• Experience teaching undergraduate criminal justice or related courses
• Strong commitment to liberal arts education, experiential learning, and student success
