Maintenance Repair Tech

Job Purpose

As a Tony’s Maintenance and Repair Worker you will perform general repairs throughout all markets and facilities.

Detailed Tasks and Activities

• Performs general plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and supermarket refrigeration repairs to the facility’s hot line.
• General maintenance
• Basic construction repairs (i.e.. changing outlets, fix pipes, dry wall, tile, light fixtures, etc.)
• Knowledge of refrigeration repairs is highly preferred
• Inspects equipment and systems to identify problems or issues.
• Consults blueprints or building plans to identify best solution to resolve systems or equipment issues.
• Conducts preventive maintenance to ensure that plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems continue operating properly.
• Obtains services of outside contractors when repairs require specialized training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Must have a valid driver license
• Knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and supermarket refrigeration hotline equipment repairs.
• Refrigeration knowledge preferred
• Heating and ventilation preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in related field preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Can stand for up to 8-10 hours
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.
