What are the responsibilities and job description for the Produce Clerk position at Tony s Market?
Tony's Market has been recognized by local media for having the "Best Produce in Denver." Our freshly culled displays of fruits and vegetables (some local, some organic, all quality), catch our customers' attention while they walk through our Markets. We also have fresh made products, such as guacamole and pico de gallo, that customers seek out and call "the best in Denver!" Produce clerks are responsible for making sure the department is fresh, full, and appealing for all of our customers.
Produce Clerk Job Functions:
- Stock and stack produce displays
- Cull produce, pulling ALL sub-par product
- Cut/package fresh fruits and veggies for sale
- Assist customers and give samples whenever possible
- Greet all customers
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Produce Clerk Qualifications:
- Some food service or customer service experience preferred
- Can stand for 8-10 hours
- Can lift up to 40 lbs.
- Friendly and welcoming
- Able to work well independently
