Tonna Mechanical is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support our warehouse and field operations. This position is responsible for receiving inventory, organizing materials, preparing job orders, and making deliveries and pickups at job sites and residential homes. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, comfortable driving locally, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming inventory from vendors.
- Stock and organize materials in the correct warehouse location.
- Maintain proper inventory rotation, including first in, first out procedures.
- Sign, date, and maintain packing slips and receiving paperwork.
- Scan and assign materials out of inventory to the correct job number or company vehicle.
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of stocked items, including names, numbers, sizes, and common uses.
- Pull, stage, and document materials and equipment for upcoming jobs.
- Ensure all material sheets are completed accurately with the date, job number, address, and employee initials.
- Deliver materials and equipment to commercial job sites and residential homes before crews arrive.
- Pick up unused materials and equipment from job sites and residential homes after job completion or at the end of a project phase.
- Return, restock, and accurately credit unused materials back to the proper job.
- Scrap returned equipment and materials in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow a rotating Monday through Friday schedule with adjusted start and end times as needed.
Additional Duties
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Maintain delivery trucks and warehouse vehicles, including cleanliness and routine upkeep.
- Assist in the shop or other departments during slower periods as needed.
- Communicate questions or concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
- Share ideas to improve warehouse efficiency and inventory control with the Warehouse Coordinator.
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license and ability to operate company vehicles safely.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally on a regular basis to job sites and residential homes for deliveries and pickups.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately complete paperwork and inventory documentation.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to load and unload materials safely.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Rotating schedule with adjusted start and end times
Offered compensation: $22/hr - $25/hr
