What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist - Recruiting / Talent Acquisition position at Tonna Mechanical?
This seat will require in-office hours Monday-Friday in Rochester, MN.
The primary focus of this seat will be to provide support to our expanding team and strengthen our recruitment efforts. The ideal candidate will have a hunter mindset within recruitment, be detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in a human resources role.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full cycle of the Tonna Team
Recruitment for all open positions, including job posting, sourcing, and screening.
Interviewing and coordinating offers.
Onboarding/Offboarding
Strengthen the current process in attracting skilled technicians and professional staff.
Lead onboarding to ensure a positive and smooth new-hire experience.
Pre-hire checks and paperwork
Uniforms/clothing
Equipment, devices, vehicle assignments, and software user alignment.
New-hire announcement
Lead legal compliance, maintain employee records, and administer benefits.
Update employee folders and information as needed
Benefit enrollment

Assist with the Tonna Teams culture initiatives, such as employee engagement, retention efforts, and organizational development, as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or related HR functions. Experience within the trades is preferred.
- A bachelor's or Master's in Human Resource Management (HRM) is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with new age technologies.
High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
