What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Music Teacher - 2025-2026 School Year position at Tomball ISD?
Private teacher will:
1. Abide by all expectations, policies, procedures, and regulations of Tomball ISD, the campus music director, and campus principal.
2. Provide a detailed, written set of student/parent private lesson expectations to each student/parent. Note: Campus music directors must approve these expectations before distribution to students/parents.
3. Teach private music lessons during music classes, lunchtime, before or after school or at other times agreed to by student, parent, campus director, and private teacher.
4. Communicate regularly with campus music directors about individual student progress.
5. Be proactive in avoiding scheduling conflicts.
6. Keep accurate and up-to-date attendance records and allow campus directors access to these records.
7. Charge students/parents $28 per 25 minute lesson.
8. It is highly recommended that PL teachers collect lesson fee in advance of any lesson being taught. TISD staff has very limited ability to collect past due private lesson fees.
9. Lesson Teachers will need to complete a fingerprint ID background check that costs approximately $50
