 ABOUT THE ROLE

As Account Manager within the Tomarco Texas Division, you will lead efforts to drive sales of CEAS attachment products while leveraging these opportunities to secure select commodity transactions. Your mission is to generate revenue in the Texas market by demonstrating and selling our proprietary products to Electrical, Datacom, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Sprinkler contractors.

 In this role, you’ll gain comprehensive knowledge of our products, master proven sales strategies, and optimize your efforts within the Texas market. Backed by Tomarco’s technical resources and strong sales support, you’ll have every tool you need to succeed—and as you help the company grow, your career opportunities will grow with it.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales Demonstrations: Conduct hands-on product demonstrations for Electrical, Datacom, Security, Mechanical, and Plumbing contractors at offices and job sites. Engage with key personnel such as Project Managers, Estimators, and Field Supervision.
  • Leverage Relationships: Build on successful project engagements to secure bulk commodity transactions.
  • Project Targeting: Identify and track major projects in your territory, ensuring timely product presentations early in the construction process. Use industry resources (e.g., Reed Construction Data) to discover new opportunities.
  • Sales Reporting: Submit weekly sales reports to management, outlining contractor contacts, project discussions, demonstrations, and customer feedback.
  • Account Management: Work with the accounting team to open new accounts and ensure timely processing of all required documentation.
  • Sales Order Billing & Collections: Ensure sales orders are billed promptly and accounts are paid within company terms, partnering with internal teams to support timely collections.
  • Market Monitoring: Track competitor activities and market trends. Share insights with Sales, Technical Support, and Corporate teams to help shape business strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, preferably in the low voltage, MEP construction, or related industries.
  • Experience with hands-on product demonstrations and relationship building in the field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage contractors, estimators, and project managers effectively.
  • Strategic and organized, with the ability to track projects, target opportunities, and manage accounts efficiently.
  • Familiarity with sales reporting, billing, and collections processes.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and committed to success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Reliable transportation and valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred (not required).

The successful candidate must also pass a background check.
