The Automation Specialist will build and configure high-impact automation and system enhancements using McLeod’s Logix Solutions automation platform and serve as a senior-level resource within the Enterprise Software Services team, focused on delivering customer-specific automation and enhancements using McLeod Software’s proprietary development tools. This role emphasizes solution implementation, system customization, and production support for McLeod’s enterprise customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and configure customer automation using FlowLogix, McLeod Software’s proprietary automation platform, to solve complex, real-world business problems.
- Translate customer requirements and production issues into efficient, scalable solutions within the McLeod application ecosystem.
- Diagnose and resolve defects and performance issues by enhancing existing logic, workflows, and configurations.
- Execute work across the SDLC using established internal frameworks, standards, and deployment processes.
- Produce Modification Specifications (Mod Specs) to ensure predictable, repeatable delivery of customer solutions.
- Lead customer engagements or serve as a go-to technical resource for complex implementations and escalations.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; or 4 years of experience in software configuration, automation development, application support, or related technical roles; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with SQL and relational database systems, required.
- Hands-on experience using tools such as Git, IntelliJ, Azure DevOps, and Eclipse, required.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented concepts and structured logic.
- Experience in the transportation industry (a plus).
