Human Resources Business Partner - Employee Relations

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an HR professional who can step into complex employee relations situations and help leaders navigate them with consistency, fairness, and clarity.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with leaders across the organization to address employee relations matters, conduct and document investigations, and guide decision-making in situations that are often sensitive or time-critical. You’ll also play a key role in coaching managers through performance concerns, policy interpretation, and workplace conflict.
This is a high-trust, individual contributor role within a collaborative HR team.
What You’ll Do
Employee Relations & Investigations
Conduct thorough, impartial investigations related to harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage/hour concerns, and other policy matters
Interview employees and leaders, gather documentation, assess credibility, and determine findings
Prepare clear, confidential investigation summaries with recommendations
Track and resolve grievances from intake through closure
Partner with leadership during mediations, arbitrations, or other proceedings as needed
Leadership Support & Workplace Impact
Coach managers through employee concerns, performance issues, and difficult conversations
Provide guidance on policy interpretation and workplace conflict
Support consistent, fair decision-making across teams
Promote positive employee engagement efforts and workplace culture initiatives
Manage employee separations in a compliant and professional manner
Identify training needs and recommend practical solutions for leaders
Compliance & Policy Integrity
Monitor and interpret federal and state employment laws
Recommend updates to policies and practices to maintain compliance
Ensure policies are consistently applied across departments and locations
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
Trends & Process Improvement
Evaluate employee relations trends and recommend proactive solutions
Collaborate with HR leadership and operations on process enhancements
Contribute best-practice insights to support leadership decision-making
What We’re Looking For
Approximately 4 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including employee relations work
Demonstrated experience leading employee relations investigations independently
Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm, objective, and professional in high-pressure situations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to influence and build consensus without direct authority
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google tools
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
PHR or similar HR certification
