About the Role
PRK Williams Building Group is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead strategic growth efforts across our construction operations.
In this role, you’ll identify and pursue new project opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and partner closely with estimating, preconstruction, and operations teams to position the company for success. You’ll play a key role in shaping pursuit strategy, influencing go-to-market decisions, and expanding our presence across multiple construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy
Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth goals
Identify and pursue new project opportunities across markets such as commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and multifamily
Track pipeline activity, backlog forecasts, and market trends to inform strategy
Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
Client Relationships & Market Expansion
Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
Establish relationships with municipal building officials and community stakeholders
Manage client relationships throughout the full project lifecycle to drive repeat business
Partner with project executives to ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnerships
Pursuit Strategy & Preconstruction Collaboration
Collaborate with Operations leadership on go/no-go decisions and win strategies
Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams on pricing, scope, and scheduling
Support proposals, presentations, and negotiated project pursuits
Assist with contract negotiations, project buyout, and client onboarding
Leadership & Collaboration
Work closely with marketing to align messaging and outreach strategies
Mentor and support business development and marketing team members as applicable
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment from pursuit through project execution

Preferred Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
10 years of experience in construction business development, sales, or preconstruction
Proven success winning work and developing long-term client relationships
Experience with both public and private sector projects
Strong understanding of delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CM at Risk, IPD)
Experience collaborating with estimating and operations teams
Background in residential and light commercial design or estimating is a plus
Familiarity with design tools such as SoftPlan is a plus
