Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team at TNT. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a knack for handling transactions accurately. As a cashier, you will be the face of our store, ensuring that customers have a pleasant ordering experience while efficiently processing their purchases and explaining menu items.

Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions quickly and accurately.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their inquiries.
• Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and front lobby, including merchandising displays and floors.
• Stock shelves and assist with inventory management as needed to ensure product availability.
• Be knowledgeable of all products and services offered as to be able to inform customers about new items or promotions.
• Supervise junior staff members during shifts, providing guidance, training, and support as necessary.
• Utilize effective phone etiquette when addressing customer calls or inquiries.

Experience

• Previous experience in management or cashiering is preferred, particularly in a restaurant environment.
• Familiarity with basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $8.00 - $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
