GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOB (Summary)
The Aftermarket Specialist takes the comprehensive processes and responsibilities related to aftermarket spare parts management, including quotes, purchasing, receiving, shipping, invoicing, inventory, project management, client and vendor coordination, warehouse operations, and special event planning

- Provide service for goods/services based on time/price/quality as requested.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Warehouse shipment organization receiving space
- Responsible for the cost-effective contracting of products and services
- Plans, organizes, and supervises purchasing operations, ensuring that all transactions and procedures comply with law and corporate policy.
- Arranges purchases of goods and services at the most favourable price consistent with quality, quantity, and specification requirements
- Processes requisitions received to include determinations of source of supply and purchase terms, issues orders, follows up on resulting shipment, and ensures timely delivery
- Maintains delivery logistics
- Recommends purchasing policy or procedural changes
- Coordinates receiving, storage and delivery of orders
- Provides information and assistance to management, staff, vendor and public enquiry relating to purchasing, delivery, vendor performance, and item availability
- Performs clerical work, including computer input, typing, record keeping and other related duties as required
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports
- Expedite delivery of good and services in accordance with the agreed-upon terms of project contract
- Participate in weekly procurement meetings with project teams
- Needing Technical writing skills to prepare a proposal
- Liaison with vendors

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
Relevant college or university education, and/or 3-5 years of aftermarket experience.
CERTIFICATE(S), LICENSE(S), REGISTRATION(S) EXPERIENCE
3-5 years' experience in purchasing, preferably in the mining or construction industry
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
- 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the mining or construction industry
- Preferred knowledge of mining equipment
- Preferred Knowledge of federal/state rules and regulations
- Supervisory skills
- Inventory experience
- Relevant college or university education
- Excellent organizational, negotiating, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent (verbal and written) communication and interpersonal skills
- Must exercise independent judgment as required
- Must work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Must establish and maintain cooperative working relations with staff and vendors
