Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
· Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s objectives and growth plans.
· Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on talent, organizational design, culture, and compliance.
· Establish and refine HR systems, processes, and policies suitable for a small company.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
· Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
· Partner with managers to assess staffing needs and improve hiring practices.
· Oversee new hire onboarding, orientation, and early engagement activities.
Employee Relations & Culture
· Act as the main point of contact for employee relations, conflict resolution, and general HR support.
· Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
· Design and implement employee engagement and recognition programs.
Policy, Compliance & Risk Management
· Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
· Maintain and update the employee handbook and company policies.
· Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records.
Compensation, Payroll & Benefits
· Collaborate with third-party providers to process payroll accurately and on time.
· Manage benefits administration, annual renewals, and employee inquiries.
· Evaluate and recommend competitive total rewards strategies.
· Manage and evaluate Health Insurance plans and benefits.
Performance Management & Development
· Coordinate performance review processes and provide coaching to managers.
· Support employees in goal setting, feedback, and professional growth.
· Identify and provide cost-effective development and training opportunities.
HR Operations & Reporting
· Maintain HRIS or spreadsheets to track employee data, PTO, compliance, and metrics.
· Generate HR reports and insights for leadership.
· Continuously improve operational efficiency of HR workflows and systems.
Work Environment
This is a dynamic role requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
May be required to attend in-person events, training, or meetings occasionally.
Remote or hybrid flexibility may be available depending on company policy.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) strongly preferred but not required.
Experience:
- 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2–3 years in an HR leadership or generalist role with broad responsibility across multiple HR functions.
- Proven experience building or scaling HR infrastructure within a small or mid-sized business environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, and compliance best practices.
- Hands-on experience managing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
- Experience with HRIS systems, payroll coordination, and vendor management is a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
