Commercial HVAC Service Technician - Chillers and Boilers
TNT Heating and Air Pay Range: $40-$45/hour
The Opportunity
TNT Heating and Air is looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician with strong knowledge of chillers, boilers, and hydronic systems.
This position is ideal for a technician who can independently troubleshoot complex commercial HVAC equipment, complete repairs and preventative maintenance, and keep critical heating and cooling systems operating reliably.
What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnose, service, and repair water-cooled chillers and closed-loop boiler systems
- Maintain chilled-water and hot-water systems
- Troubleshoot refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and control issues
- Service pumps, valves, cooling towers, piping, and related components
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Test temperatures, pressures, flow, safeties, and overall system performance
- Troubleshoot compressors, motors, sensors, relays, and controls
- Read electrical schematics and manufacturer documentation
- Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend appropriate repairs
- Document completed work and communicate findings with customers and the service team
- Work independently while coordinating with TNT's dispatch and service teams
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of commercial chiller, boiler, or large commercial HVAC experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with water-cooled chillers
- Experience with closed-loop boilers and hydronic systems
- Strong commercial HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of commercial refrigeration and electrical systems
- Experience with pumps, cooling towers, valves, and controls
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
- EPA Universal Certification
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Experience servicing Carrier, Trane, York, Daikin, or similar commercial equipment is highly desirable.
Additional Experience We Value
Factory chiller training, boiler and combustion experience, building automation knowledge, chiller rebuilds or overhauls, large-tonnage HVAC experience, and NATE or manufacturer certifications are all a plus.
Pay and Benefits
$40-$45 per hour, based on experience.
