Position Overview
The Supply Technician supports the NIWC Atlantic Wall-to-Wall Inventory Accuracy and Assurance Program by performing physical inventory counts, validating inventory records, and supporting supply accountability for Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S) and Non‑OM&S materials. The position ensures inventory data accuracy and compliance with SECNAVINST 5200.44A and Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements using Navy ERP Warehouse Management (WM) and CMPRO systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct wall‑to‑wall, cycle, random, and spot inventory counts in warehouses and IPT spaces.
• Perform blind inventory counts using Government-provided count sheets from Navy ERP and CMPRO.
• Verify FIAR data elements including Part Number, NSN, CAGE, Material Number, Description, Storage Bin, Unit of
Measure, and Quantity.
• Identify and document discrepancies such as quantity mismatches, incorrect identifiers, or storage locations.
• Support second and third count verification processes for discrepancies.
• Assist with reconciliation of physical inventory results in the Navy ERP Physical Inventory (PI) module.
• Research inventory data in Navy ERP WM and CMPRO to support discrepancy analysis.
• Ensure proper labeling, identification, and return of materials to correct storage locations.
• Operate forklifts or material handling equipment (MHE) when required and authorized.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 year's experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply operations.
• Experience performing inventory counts or stock verification.
• Ability to work with inventory systems or ERP systems.
• Forklift/MHE certification preferred.
