Description
SAIC is seeking a Supply Technician for our customer site in North Charleston, SC.
The Supply Technician
- Provides expertise and the ability to supervise the LMADIS Materials Management team
- Provides material purchase status reports to management
- Work with Purchasing Team to execute common buys across programs and Build long term agreements with key suppliers
- Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing to identify and qualify new suppliers
- Collaborates with other managers to determine material needs
- Working with all Program Managers, Engineers, and Program Logisticians to furnish complete Build of Materials (BOMs) to Purchasing for RFQ and procurement requirements
- Resolve program shortages by reviewing and analyzing all back-orders
- Periodic calls to vendors to insure promised dates are kept
- Collecting merchandise from the Shipping and receiving section and safely transporting materials to the receiving area
- Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return
- Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse
- Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the Management
- Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled
- Supervise all material through computer input
- Assisting with training of newly employed workers
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma and five (5) years of experience
- Requires excellent time management and prioritizing skills to meet the challenges of unexpected program updates and requirements
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail and accuracy are critical
- CMPRO experience
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust
