The Role
As an Equipment Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the packaging equipment that drives our production operations. Working as part of a shift-based maintenance team, you’ll help ensure equipment reliability, safe operation, and smooth transitions between product runs.
This hands-on technical role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with machinery, and contributing directly to the success of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
A Day in the Life ⚙️
As an Equipment Technician at Tjoapack, your shift begins by reviewing equipment status and addressing any outstanding maintenance needs from previous runs. You may perform routine inspections, make mechanical or electrical adjustments, or respond to equipment interruptions to keep production moving. During changeovers, you’ll help prepare packaging lines—clearing, setting up, and testing equipment to ensure readiness for the next product.
Throughout the day, you’ll diagnose issues using mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic skills, documenting your work and collaborating closely with Production and Engineering teams. Whether you’re replacing parts, supporting equipment tests, or staging spare components, your work ensures that packaging lines operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime—helping medicines reach patients without delay.
What You’ll Do
đź”§ Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform regular inspections, repairs, and adjustments on packaging equipment.
Diagnose and resolve equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
⚙️ Changeovers & Line Readiness
Support and execute equipment setup for different product runs.
Perform line clearances and prepare equipment for production start-up.
Conduct equipment testing to verify proper performance.
đź§˝ Safety & Workplace Organization
Uphold safety standards and facility procedures at all times.
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
Promote safe work practices in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
📦 Inventory & Spare Parts Support
Initiate purchase requests for parts and materials as needed.
Support spare parts inventory management to ensure availability.
Collaborate with procurement to maintain necessary equipment supplies.
👥 Communication & Collaboration
Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Facilities teams.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive team culture.
What We’re Looking For
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Technical skills gained through education, training, or hands-on experience.
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
Ability to complete and understand basic cGMP and safety training.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Basic math skills and strong problem-solving ability.
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
