Maintenance/General Laborer-First Shift

Seeking maintenance laborers for first shift for a local housing authority in Chambersburg PA and Waynesboro, PA.

Job would entail working mostly in Chambersburg but there will be times when the work is in Waynesboro. Jobs are first shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  There would be flexibility for part-timers on the hours.

Job Responsibilities:

--Refurbish housing units under management of agency

--Specific duties could include cleaning buildings, patching walls, painting, replacing broken items, some plumbing type work.

--Basic carpentry-type work 

--Could include mowing and landscaping of properties during warner periods and snow removal in winter

--Working on work orders from tenants in public housing units to fix items

--Do anything that is needed in operation of the agency

Desired Skills and Experience:

--Need someone mechanical with handyman-type experience

--Need a fast-paced worker who is willing to do different things everyday

--Need someone who doesn't need a lot of follow-up once given direction

--Need someone who works in a safe manner

--Need someone who is respectful. You will be working in a public housing arena and interacting with many different people.

--Need someone with a good driving record 

--All applicants will be drug tested and undergo a background check
