Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Architectural & Interior Designer role based in Saratoga, CA. The designer will develop architectural and interior concepts, prepare detailed drawings and specifications, and collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure cohesive design solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, material and finish selection, creating 2D and 3D design presentations, and coordinating design details from concept through construction. The role involves participating in client meetings, refining designs based on feedback, and ensuring alignment with project budgets, schedules, and building codes. The designer will also support documentation for permits and construction, and help maintain Timeline Design Build’s high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in architectural and interior design tools (e.g., Revit, SketchUp, or similar 2D/3D software).
- Strong skills in space planning, material and finish selection, and creating cohesive interior palettes.
- Ability to produce clear construction documents, drawings, and specifications that comply with relevant building codes.
- Experience collaborating with designers, contractors, and clients throughout design and construction phases.
- Excellent visual communication skills, including design presentations, mood boards, and digital renderings.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Knowledge of residential design and construction processes; experience in custom homes or remodeling is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with local permitting processes and California building codes is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Saratoga, CA, and participate in client meetings and site visits as needed.
