Cashier / Order Prep and Shift Leader
Location: Tilly's Empanadas
Pay Rate: $15.92 per hour
Hours: 35–40 hours per week during the slow season, up to 50 hours per week during the busy season.
About the Role
Tilly's Empanadas is looking for an energetic, hardworking, and flexible team member to join our growing business as a Cashier / Order Prep and Shift Leader. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and is eager to be an important part of a successful team.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Accurately take customer orders and process payments.
- Prepare and package food and beverage orders efficiently.
- Ensure orders are completed accurately and presented professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, dining area, and prep stations.
- Assist with stocking supplies, inventory, and daily opening/closing duties.
- Support team members during busy periods and help maintain smooth operations.
- Lead shifts by setting a positive example and assisting with daily workflow.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Previous cashier, food service, café, or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
